How to practice self-care and maintain a balanced lifestyle.

Hey, welcome to my latest blog post. Today I will be discussing how to practice self-care and maintain a balanced lifestyle. Make sure to listen to my latest Podcast on workout motivation and go check out my Instagram.


So let's begin! I try and incorporate a form of self-care into my routine each day, to me self-care can be as simple as listening to music you like, painting your nails, watching your favourite show and anything else that makes you feel positive. Recently, I have enjoyed going on evening walks, I also read every evening which makes me feel calmer and more relaxed. My top tips on how to practice self-care is to focus all your attention on one activity you enjoy and begin the activity with a positive and calm mindset. I like dedicating one day a week to self-care, I usually choose Wednesday as it's the middle of the week and that is when I most often need a boost of motivation and positivity. On a Wednesday I will do lots of things that make me feel refreshed for the rest of the week, normally I will do a face mask, watch something I enjoy, sometimes I'll get an early night and I also like doing some yoga, meditation or Pilates.


To maintain a balanced lifestyle I think you need to achieve all your tasks when you feel motivated and you have a chunk of time to complete them. For example, if I get set a piece of homework I usually try and complete it on the day it's set, allowing me time to improve and adjust what I have answered before the deadline. I also think it's vital to also socialise and meet with your friends as this will give you time to relax and leave work behind you. Another important thing is to educate yourself by reading, writing or researching. Also, exercising is a great way to keep living a balanced lifestyle as it will help you to feel more motivated, productive and positive.
